Tigerair Philippines made Northern Mindanao more accessible to travelers when it launched its daily direct flights from Manila to Butuan last December 15, 2014.
The daily flight will leave Manila at and arrive in Butuan at The return flight will depart Butuan at 8:05 p.m. and will arrive in Manila at 9:50 p.m.

Letty Tan, Regional Director of the Department of Tourism CARAGA Region said that she is delighted to have another airline fly this route. “We believe that Tigerair Philippines can help in our tourism efforts,” she said.

It has attractions like the Butuan National Museum for those who love ancient history, Delta Discovery Park where you can ride a buggy or ATV or their 1.3-kilometer zipline; and the Banza Church Ruins.
You can also visit the Balanghai Boat Building site where old trading boats were built. As early as the 10th century, the locals were already engaged in Asian trade, proof that it was a progressive city before the arrival of the Spaniards.
