Megaworld supports ‘clean and green’program of Iloilo Port

Megaworld, the developer of Iloilo Business Park, has partnered with the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) to promote a clean and green environment around the Port of Iloilo.

The company has donated potted plants and trash bins to the port which serves to an average of 2,000 passengers daily going to and from Bacolod, Cebu, Zamboanga, Cagayan de Oro and Manila.

Last year, Megaworld also initiated a greening program in the coastal area of Barangay Sooc, Villa de Arevalo in Iloilo City by planting hundreds of nursed mangrove seedlings in the area that surrounds the historic Iloilo River.

The 72-hectare Iloilo Business Park stretches towards the Iloilo River in Molo. Present during the turnover ceremony of the plants and trash bins were (see photo) Engr. Rodel G. Lagmay, Jordan Division Manager and Acting Terminal supervisor, PMO; Edgar B. Sonza, Admin Officer, PPA-Iloilo and Jennifer Palmares-Fong, head of marketing, Iloilo Business Park./PR
