Why going organic is good for us

There are several benefits that Ilonggos can get from becoming advocates of organic agriculture.
First, good health. Organically grown products are natural and healthy because they are free from synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, preservatives and additives. They do not come from genetically-modified seeds.
Second, food security amid climate change. Organic crops are very resilient compared to those grown using conventional systems. The 30-year side-by-side Farming Systems Trial (FST) at Rodale Institute showed that organic systems were almost three times as resilient as conventional systems.
Third, profitable.  Instead of buying costly pesticides, farmers cultivate soil organisms, pollinators, plants, birds and other animals. The Rodale study again showed that organic systems were almost three times as profitable as conventional systems.

New Chevrolet models offer more safety, performance

Chevrolet, an American automobile brand was created more than 100 years ago. At that time, its makers, road racer Louis Chevrolet and General Motors founder Billy Durant targeted the working class. This explains the bowtie on Chevrolet’s logo.
Chevrolet started out with trucks but eventually manufactured cars and SUVs that promise comfort, performance and safety. Now, Chevrolet has a car and model for every life stage and purpose, making it one of the world’s largest car brands.

The brand’s high standard did not escape global attention, including that of the Philippines. In 2008, Chevrolet entered the Philippine market. In 2014, Chevrolet posted a Philippine automotive industry ranking of 7th and a record of 70% increase in sales.

Three generations in my family patronized Sarabia Jewelry; my grandparents, parents and me. I bought my only pair of gold earrings from their main store more than 10 years ago.
