Reduce stress, read books

SM Foundation donates books to DOLE-6

Do you know that just 10 minutes of reading a book reduces your stress by 70 percent?

That's in addition to improving your brain's function, helping build your skills, improving your vocabulary, widening your understanding of other places and cultures and improving your creativity, among others.

So, the more books we read and share, the better it is for the community.

Just recently, SM Foundation, Inc., through SM City Iloilo, donated books to the Department of Labor and Employment 6 (DOLE 6) as support for the latter's community programs.

SM Foundation, Inc. is the corporate social responsibility arm of the SM Group of Companies. Founded in 1983 by Henry Sy, Sr. and Felicidad T. Sy, the foundation has initiatives to boost education, foster health, protect the environment and empower people.

“It has always been the vision of SM Foundation to make a difference in the lives of every Filipino," said Mr. Sy.
