Herschel Supply Co’s timeless backpacks

Lovers of Herschel Supply Co. products and those who prefer versatility and durability for their rucksacks, bags, and wallets, need not go to Manila or Amazon.com in order to shop because the world’s favorite provider of these timeless products has opened in SM City Iloilo.

But first of all, here’s a bit of history. It was in the early 1900s when Peter Alexander Cormack, a barrel maker by trade, and his wife Annie made the journey from Wick, Scotland to a town called Herschel in the province of Saskatchewan in Canada. In 2009 or three generations later, Herschel Supply Co. was founded by Jamie and Lyndon Cormack.

Basic elements of Herschel products

When a Herschel product is created, the needs of its users are being considered. That is why they have standard details including liners, key clips, and pocket sleeves that remain useful for today’s users, may they be for adventure or simply for daily use.

The key feature of every Herschel product – engineered stripes in either red, blue or black - was inspired by the overalls that Peter Alexander Cormack wore. The other features are the air mesh (for airflow and comfort), padded and fleece-lined sleeve (for tablets and laptops), and signature shoe compartment that can accommodate a shoe size of up to size 3.

Hudson's Bay

The collection includes lines colored green, red, yellow and dark blue. "A perfect accompaniment for a movie in the park under a canopy of stars, we have partnered with America's longest-standing merchant to symbolize comfort and quality," stated Herschel's brand presentation.

Sun Up Collection

Inspired by the palm-fringed white sands of an exotic island, the bags are colored cream with dark green colored silhouettes of palms and islands, evoking daydreams of leisure and adventure.

Gradient Collection

Carries nature colors ranging from the sky blue and orange colors (during sunrise and sunset) to the blue color of the ocean.

Cordura

The Cordura fabric is lightweight and densely woven. Light and durable, with details of tanned leather and custom metal hardware, this backpack will stand the test of time.
