Tycoon brings Europe to Iloilo Business Park
Business
tycoon Andrew Tan is bringing the beautiful architecture of Europe in the
72-hectare Iloilo Business Park township of Megaworld, the country’s largest
developer of integrated urban townships.
“He
recognizes that not everyone can go to Europe, so he wants to bring the wonders
of the architecture of Europe to the Philippines,” said Harold Geronimo, assistant
vice president and head of Public Relations and External Affairs.

“Lafayette
Parksquare is a fusion of Spanish and French. One Madison Place is
Mediterranean. While The Palladium has a modern design, it has European flare,”
said Geronimo during a press conference at the Richmond Hotel at the Iloilo
Business Park last August 18, 2016.
Sensing
the warm acceptance of the Ilonggos (based on the fact that the units of the
abovementioned towers are almost sold out), Megaworld launched Saint Honore, the
sixth residential tower of Megaworld at the Iloilo Business Park.
This
10-story condominium was inspired by Paris’ Rue Saint-Honore, a historical
street where shophouses, boutiques, museums and retail rows are found.
“Ilonggos will get to experience the world-renowned beauty of Paris with Saint Honore. Amidst all of its grandeur and Parisian lifestyle, future residents are assured of utmost exclusivity, privacy, and serene atmosphere in this first-of-its-kind residential enclave in Iloilo,” says Jennifer Palmares-Fong, vice-president for sales and marketing – Iloilo Business Park, Megaworld.
Fong said that the new residential tower will comprise of 168 units ranging from studio to executive 2-bedrooms with some units having their own lanai with a magnificent view of the township or Iloilo skyline.
Despite Iloilo’s progress, people here still prefer a laid-back lifestyle and that is exactly what Saint Honore was built for. It captures the laid-back, laissez-faire way of Parisian life by having its own lifestyle amenity deck on the third floor composed of a swimming pool, a pool lounge, a kiddie pool, a Jacuzzi, function halls, and a fitness center.
There will be an atrium at the ground floor and it will have a garden, trellised seating and a strip of boutiques and retail shops. There will be a podium parking with its own driver’s lounge with washroom.
Future residents will also be assured of utmost security and privacy as the residential lobby with reception and lounge area will have closed-circuit TV (CCTV) cameras, a video-phone security system in all units, and a centralized security command center for 24-hour monitoring of all building facilities and amenities.
“Saint Honore will be a short walk distance to and from Richmonde Hotel, Marriott Courtyard Hotel, the Iloilo Convention Center and the Festive Walk Mall. Walkability around the township is a key selling point of this development,” adds Palmares-Fong.
Meanwhile, Geronimo stressed that Megaworld’s creation of townships has given many people not just places to live in but also places where they can work. “Jobs in the BPO centers, building construction, etc,” he said, adding that they prioritize Ilonggo workers in the construction activities at the Iloilo Business Park.
He added that Megaworld remains optimistic about the Philippine economy. “The government’s thrust is to expand economic activity in the regions and we can see that the economic growth in the provinces will be sustained,” he said.
Just recently, Jericho Go, senior vice president, Megaworld announced that they are targeting around 175,000 square meters of office spaces for the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry in three Visayan cities in the next three years to form the so-called ‘Visayas BPO Triangle.’
Megaworld expects to generate around 50,000 full-time direct jobs in the BPO sector or 300,000 direct and indirect jobs in these Visayas cities./ PR
