Sarabia Jewelry: a heritage brand that is three generations strong

Sarabia Jewelry was founded by Amparo Divinagracia Sarabia in 1945. Their first store is located at Guanco Street.

Her love for her work, her integrity, honesty, and personalized service has endeared people to the brand. This tradition of elegance, excellence, and ethics continues up to this day, thanks to her daughter Gina Sarabia-Espinosa who studied at the Gemological Institute of America to become a certified gemologist. With her sharp business acumen, she was able to produce more products and designs that met customers’ demands as well as expanded to more areas in Panay Island.

Currently the company’s president, Gina envisions Sarabia Jewelry as a heritage brand. “I am an artist and I love arts and our heritage, so I want to incorporate it in our brand,” she said.

Gina’s daughter, Regina inherited the artistic inclination of her mother and grandmother. Armed with the passion and devotion for art, Regine studied to become a metalsmith at The Alchemia School of Contemporary Jewelry in Florence, Italy. She brought her ideas to Iloilo where she promotes artisanal unique and handcrafted products that are linked to the culture and history of Iloilo.

Sarabia Jewelry has a massive collection of fine jewelry and it boasts of its own atelier at the upper floor of their Guanco branch where skilled artisans and craftsmen lovingly create these timeless pieces. Customers can even request for custom-made designs.

70TH ANNIVERSARY AND THREE GENERATIONS STRONG

Now at 70 years, Sarabia Jewelry is poised to meet the demands of the modern times by opening its flagship store at SM City Iloilo.

The new jewelry store is a realization of three generations of Sarabias’ hard work, passion to succeed and love for the craft.

“The store is a dream come true.  It took many months to plan this event which aims to take the brand to another level,” said Gina Sarabia-Espinosa, in their press release. She even hired the best designer and contractor for the store.

The store aims to take customers through a whole new journey in the world of fine jewelry, which translates to a more personal and better customer experience.

During the opening, guests were treated to a unique fashion show presenting the latest jewelry inspirations of the Sarabia women, one of which was the SOLIHIYA series that was designed by Regine. According to the company’s press release, Solohiya is a heritage craft that involves weaving.
