Seda Atria staycation guide

Once in a while, it is nice to have a break from one's routine or usual space. One of them is a staycation in a hotel like Seda Atria. Here is a sample staycation itinerary based on my visit.

1. Check-in

Their check-in time is 2 pm, so in order to maximize your stay get there ahead of time and check out the amenities, you will soon experience.

2. Enjoy the view ... and the bed!

Seda Atria has 150 rooms equipped with amenities for a memorable staycation. The room has everything a guest needs. It has a desk, telephone, stationery and pen, sockets, lamps and night lights, television with cable, fridge, and bar.

The bathroom is quite clean and complete with all the necessities like bathrobes, towels, and toiletries.

The bed and pillows are so comfortable to lie on. I checked my emails while lying down and noticed that I did not have a strained neck after a few hours.

3. Convenience

There are restaurants, shops, a supermarket, and a pharmacy at the nearby Shops of Atria, which offers guests extra convenience.

Qualimed is just a few meters away from Seda Atria should there be any unexpected medical issue that would take place during one's stay.

Seda Atria has a fast internet connection. Plus, the bottled water they provide in their rooms is Hope In a Bottle Purified Drinking Water, a commitment to helping build public school classrooms.

4. Dinner and Cocktails

By 6 pm, I went up to the Straight Up Bar on the 7th floor where they offer free appetizers in their apericena for those who order alcoholic drinks. The place has an air-conditioned lounge and al fresco area where one can marvel at the city's lights at night.

If you opt for a more quiet place, there's Misto, their all-day dining restaurant on the ground floor. But, they close at 10 pm, so guests who want to have a late dinner can go to the Straight Up Bar.

5. Body Massage

By 9 pm, I was back in the hotel room for a late-night body massage. Seda Atria provides an in-room massage from 12 pm to 3 am. This can be arranged with the front desk.

6. Pison Avenue to the Iloilo River Esplanade

The next day, I woke up early and took a walk from Pison Avenue up to the Iloilo River Esplanade, two places that are a must-see for tourists.

The monument across Seda Atria is a muscovado chimney whose design reflects the different industries that Donato M. Pison and his family were into - fishpond farming, sugar cane farming, and salt making - in the 1980s.

Later on, they ventured into the real estate business in partnership with the Ayala company. What used to be salt beds were replaced by commercial and residential buildings such as Seda Atria, Qualimed, Shops of Atria, and Avida Towers among others.

Meanwhile, the Iloilo River Esplanade is a 1.2-kilometer riverside lateral park and a haven for walking, jogging, Zumba, and tourists. It received the Landscape Architecture award from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

7. The Best Breakfast Buffet

Going back to the hotel, I rested a bit, showered, and headed off to Seda's popular breakfast buffet. They have a wide selection of mouth-watering dishes and an attentive staff.

Seda Atria's Breakfast Buffet is priced at P650/pax. Children eat at half the regular price.

8. Check out

The check-out time is at 12 noon but I requested an extension of 30 minutes and the lady on the phone kindly said yes.

My every stay in Seda Atria was always favorable, thanks to the seamless service of the hotel’s team.

Seda Atria is located at Pison Avenue, Atria Park District in Barangay San Rafael, Mandurriao, Iloilo City. They have a high occupancy rate and it is best to book ahead.
